Barber County

Club Day Plan

4-H Council voted during the November 30th meeting to have Club Day on February 27 starting at 9:00 A.M. at South Barber High School.  This will be as close to normal as possible.  But the following will be changed.

  • A video recording option will be available to all youth.  If for any reason in-person attendance is not possible, the video must be submitted by February 26th at 4:00 P.M.  A place will be available on the Entry Form for those choosing the video option in advance.
  • A schedule will be used.  Please arrive only 15 minutes before your first event.  Every attempt will be made to schedule individual events close to times of group events.
  • The day may run longer than recent years.  This will be scheduled to allow for fewer families to be in the building at a time.
  • Masks will be required at all times unless a 6 foot distancing is possible.  This should allow for performers to remove their mask during events so they can be heard clearly.  Judges will be asked to wear a mask.
  • Door Monitors will not be assigned.  Please plan on a family member closing the door when starting and opening it after the event.  Those waiting in the hall will need to help.
  • All food will be prepackaged.  Snacks and drinks will be all that is offered.  Clubs will be scheduled to help.  Please limit it to 2 workers.
  • Food for demonstrations will be allowed as normal.  It will be the judges' choice if they sample items or not.
  • Sign up forms will be sent to the leaders in early January.
  • A decision on Regional Club Day has not been made at this time.
