4-H Theme Classes
- Visual Arts: Decorated Terracotta Flowerpot(s) using a patriotic theme
- Clothing & Textiles – Fashion Revue: Outfit featuring Red, White or Blue
- Perishable Foods: Salad using a Red, White or Blue food (sweet or savory)
- Baked Foods: Decorated Cupcake using Red, White or Blue
- Photography: Photo highlighting the 2026 Fair or State Fair
- Flowers & Houseplants: House Plant or Cut Arrangement with patriotic decorations added
- Building Block Engineering: Design Your Own Flag using Building Blocks
- Posters: Honor a serviceman or woman by creating a poster sharing about their military service and your connection to them
Open Class Theme Classes
This year’s patriotic theme will be incorporated into several Open Class departments:
- Food: Cupcakes decorated with Red, White & Blue
- Food Preservation: Best Red Jelly with a Decorated Lid
- Quilting:
- Quilted Article Using Red, White and Blue Fabric
- Quilt Using Red, White and Blue Fabric
- Clothing & Textiles: Article or Garment Using Red, White and Blue Fabric
- Fine Arts: Fine Art with a Patriotic Theme
- Adult & Senior Arts & Crafts: Decorated Terracotta Flowerpots using a Patriotic Theme
- Floriculture: House plant or cut arrangement with patriotic decorations added
- Photography:
- Photo featuring Red, White and Blue
- Photo featuring some element of the County Fair
Antique Classes
This year’s Antique Classes include:
- Piggy Banks
- Toothpick Holders
- Children’s Book – Single Book
- Children’s Book – Set of 3–5 Books
- Bi-Centennial Item – Single Item
- Bi-Centennial Items – Collection of 3–5 Items
- Antique Flags – Display Only (This class will not be judged. Please include an index card with details and stories about the flag.)

Schedule Updates
- Building Block Engineering Judging: July 1 at 3:00 PM at Extension Meeting Room, 410 W. Kansas, Medicine Lodge
- Sheep Show: Begins at 4:00 PM or no later than one hour after the Poultry Show
- Goat Show: Begins 15 minutes after the Sheep Show
Additional Changes
- Building Block Engineering: Added class for Modified Kit - Mostly kit-based, but altered this is not eligible for the Kansas State Fair
- Fiber Arts: One Champion and One Reserve Champion will be selected from all entries
Premium Sale Order
The Premium Sale will begin with:
- Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion for each species
Sale order will then proceed with:
- Market Animals followed by Breeding Animals in the following rotation:
- Swine, Foods, Beef, Sheep, and Meat Goats (Rotation moves forward each year)
- Carcass Champions will sell prior to Breed Champions
