Record Book Roundup

Record Book Roundup graphicMonth 3 Read the previous months for more information.

These forms are available online at https://www.kansas4-h.org/resources/awards-and-recognition/ProjectRecognition.html.

In person training will be at Regional Club Days on March 19th at the Medicine Lodge High School.  Depending on the schedule for the day, I anticipate offering the same 1 hour training twice during the day.  Watch for times next month.

Last month, it was shared we would jump into the differences between Leadership and Citizenship.  That will be delayed 1 month because after attending a training on Z-Books, that is were the focus needs to go.

Please, if you have ever typed a record sheet on a PDF form consider changing.

If you are planning to handwrite your record sheets, this month doesn't pertain to you.  Handwriting is 100% acceptable for the County Judging.

The state Z-Books resource pages is here.  Bookmark this, it has lots of helpful details.

First, sign up for an account.  This is a family account.  After that you can add each of your 4-H members.

Second, you will add the project forms and permanet records.  These forms are exactly like the paper ones.

Each of the videos is under 2 minutes long on the resource page.

The advantages of Z-Books over typing on a PDF in never losing information because the PDF failed to save. The information is stored online and can be worked on from multiple devices.  Photos can be uploaded in to record sheets directly from phones.  Take one evening to look at this program, I believe you will enjoy how user friendly it is.

Next Month will talk about Section 6 Citizenship.  The difference between Leadership and Citizenship.
