State Fair Changes

In 4-H Centennial Hall, the request from the State Fair is that all judging is complete prior to the opening day of the Fair.  This means that agents will be taking exhibits up much earlier in the week.

Exhibits must be in our office on September 7.  They will be transported to Hutchinson early morning on September 8.  Judging for many departments starts that day.

Entries are due to the Extension Office by August 11.  As always, you will be able to sign up at the Fair Office after your exhibits receive a State Fair Blue.  Also, larger items may need to be transported by your family because of their size.

Changes in 4-H Arts and Crafts are available for review here.  This will be the first year that this exhibits are judged.

Finally, premiums will not be paid for exhibiting in 4-H Centennial Hall.  Instead each exhibitor will receive 2 free passes to the Kansas State Fair.  These have a high face value than premiums paid in the past.
