Barber County

May 4-H Council Minutes

The meeting of the Barber County 4-H Council was called to order by President
Keaton Wiske on May 24, 2021 at the First Assembly of God Church at 7pm. Jaxon Miller led us in saying the Flag Salute and Hudson Rector followed by leading us in the 4-H Pledge. Secretary, Rhyan Marshall, called roll and there were 4 clubs present. She then proceeded and read the minutes from the previous meeting, which were approved as read. Treasurer, Sterling Rector, then gave the treasurer's report.

With old business President Keaton Wiske asked for comments about Club Day.
We then picked up discussion of ideas for the 100th Barber County Fair. After coming up with a few ideas, Hudson Rector moved that each club will be responsible fo providing history of their club in some form and they will all be displayed in the 4-H Building at the fair. Sterling Rector seconded it, motion passed. We also decided it would be fun for the youth if we provided 100 water balloons for them to throw in the park to celebrate the years. Sterling Rector moved, Hudson Rector seconded it, and motion passed.

President Keaton Wiske then opened the house for new business. Here we decided on a few tentative details for the achievement banquet. Jaxon Miller
moved that it be held at the First Christian Church on November 6 as a potluck dinner. Allie Hoch seconded it, motion passed. Justin Goodno then brought up a 4-H Council Officer Retreat for the 2021-2022 officers. After discussion, everyone agreed it was a good idea and plans will be made at a later date.
With no further business President Keaton Wiske then read the announcements.

He then asked for a motion to adjourn the meeting. Sterling Rector moved, Hudson Rector seconded it. Motion passed, meeting adjourned.
